About Us
Meet the President
Julian Walters grew up in Madison, WI. Walters attended Madison Memorial High School and would later graduate from Alabama A&M university with a degree in marketing while being the starting Point Guard for the Men’s Basketball team. Following his collegiate career, Walters played professionally in Europe before the COVID-19 pandemic. It was during the time of lockdown, Walters would discover his passion for Real Estate and Community impact.
Before becoming a Developer, Walters was a Realtor with a goal of helping people actualize their dreams of homeownership. Walters was Manager of the Homebuyers 2.0 Program through the Urban League of Greater Madison. A program that successfully invested 5 million dollars into Dane County, selling newly renovated homes to Black families. Following the role with the Urban League, Julian took a role with Commonwealth Development Corporation. A nationally recognized leader in the affordable housing space who specializes in utilizing federal tax credits to build multi- unit apartments before starting his own company, Eminent Development Corporation.
Walters strongly believes in giving back to the community that helped raise him. Mr. Walters spends time giving back through his mother Jacquelyn Hunt’s non-profit Foster Of Dane County helping provide food to local neighbors in need. During the holidays, he volunteers with Nehemiah to give holiday meal baskets to local families. Mr. Walters is also the founder of “Ju-Ju’s Block Party” an annual event hosted at Penn park that focuses on connecting housing and economic resources with community members. The event also includes a backpack give away, highlights local Black businesses and provides a scholarship to a local graduating high school senior. Through his life experiences and upbringing, Mr. Walters is excited to build a development company that empowers communities and is a catalyst for the economic enhancement of all people.
